The Vision statement for the Lower Kootenay Band:
The Lower Kootenay Band strives to provide a full range of programs and services in a holistic manner to meet the current and future needs of the membership of Yaqan Nukiy. This will be accomplished with the full participation of the community, through self-government and self-sufficiency in harmony with Ktunaxa traditions.
